Welcome to Maths at Sacred Heart
As a school we follow the White Rose Maths Scheme, we use the concrete, pictorial, abstract approach to try and embed the mathematical knowledge and allow the children to fully understand the mathematical concepts. As a school in Years 1-6 we use a pre and post learning to ensure that no gaps are created in the maths learning journey and that all teaching starts at each child's individual starting point and moves their learning on to allow them to make maximum progress.
