Throughout the school year, we engage in lots of different intra and inter competitions which do have a pathway to town and county finals. Our children represent our school impeccably during competitions and have represented Warrington on a numerous of occasions a county level.
We provide competition for both KS1 and KS2 in and out of school and are part of the Warrington school sports partnership (WASSP) to ensure our staff get the training they need to enhance our already, exciting curriculum.
Within our PE lessons, we offer a range of different sports including, fundamental movement skills, invasion games, net and wall games, gymnastics, dance, OAA and our KS2 gain access to 10 weeks of swimming lessons. We good links with outside agencies and they have carried out PE within our school to not only enhance our provision but provide our children with the opportunity to shine in other areas of physical exercise, not just to teachers but to other sporting people they may aspire to be.
We have competed in various competitions such as:
Althletics (Quad kids, track & field events)
Cross Country
Football
Rugby (Played at Halliwell Jones stadium before Warrington Wolves game)
Gymnastics
Dance
Orienteering
Golf
Cricket
Rounders
Team building
Football
Netball
We are believers that every child should be able to compete:all competitions are open to everyone.
We have access to a wide range of afterschool clubs delivered by teachers and outside agencies which concentrate on the health benefits sport and exercise provide. We listen to pupil and parent voice and have tried to accommodate all ideas.
